Where do I even begin with Hostinger? If you value your business, your online presence, and your sanity, run – don’t walk – away from this company. Our experience has been nothing short of a catastrophic nightmare, pushing our company to the brink of bankruptcy and forcing us into a lawsuit for hundreds of thousands of dollars. This isn’t just a bad service; it’s a predatory operation built on deceit.

Blatant Lies About “Full DDoS Protection”

Hostinger’s website proudly proclaims “full protection from DDoS attacks.” This is a bold-faced lie. A complete, utter fabrication. They have no real protection whatsoever. From the moment we signed up, relying on these false promises, our websites became the constant target of relentless Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks. We endured thirteen agonizing weeks of continuous, severe assaults on their IP addresses, causing massive disruption and untold damage to our business operations.

We literally spent endless hours and resources trying to secure our own sites and servers – tasks we explicitly paid Hostinger to handle and which they advertised as a core feature! Despite providing clear evidence of these ongoing attacks and communicating with them over seventy times in writing (yes, seventy!), offering more than forty viable solutions, Hostinger refused to implement a single one. Their support responses were generic, unhelpful, and showed a shocking pattern of neglect and non-responsiveness. It was like shouting into a void while our business burned.

Beyond Incompetence: Deliberate Manipulation and Unfair Competition

The issues with Hostinger go far beyond a mere failure to protect. We have concrete evidence that they actively manipulated their own system, causing six of our websites to be deindexed without authorization, making them invisible in search results. This wasn’t accidental; it was a deliberate and illegal use of our servers, metadata, and descriptions, designed to deceive consumers and divert our traffic.

Imagine searching for your own company name, URL, or trademark, only to find absolutely nothing. Our websites vanished from online search results entirely, even when queried directly. At the same time, Hostinger brazenly permitted and facilitated our competitors to pay for and obtain top placement in search engines using our proprietary company name, URL, and trademark in their titles, metadata, and descriptions. This is textbook unfair competition, designed to siphon our customers and drive traffic to other sites on their platform. Our business listing was conspicuously absent from their platforms, while sponsored ads for our competitors, explicitly using our brand, appeared at the top. This is a tactic straight out of the 1970s playbook of illegal advertising!

They are actively benefiting financially from this manipulation and diversion of traffic intended for their own paying clients. We even conducted a test search that revealed only one page: a competitor’s site, hosted by Hostinger, clearly using “black hat” tactics to redirect our traffic. This confirms their complicity and active facilitation of these deceptive practices within their own system.

A History of Deceit and Forced Upgrades

Hostinger’s modus operandi seems to be to trap you with deceptive advertising, then let your site suffer from constant CPU spikes (going above 100% due to malware and DDoS), which, of course, absolutely destroys your SEO and online presence. Then, surprise! They push you relentlessly to “upgrade” and spend more money, claiming it will solve the very problems they created or failed to prevent. It’s a never-ending cycle of extortion.

We sent certified mail, emails, and used their online forms to formally terminate our contract, yet Hostinger has continued practices that are actively detrimental to us. Their blatant disregard for contractual agreements and ethical business practices is astounding.

The Bottom Line: Crooks and a Lawsuit

Due to Hostinger’s false advertising, breach of contract, egregious lack of good faith, and outright unfair competition, we’ve suffered immense financial losses, severe operational disruptions, and irreparable damage to our business reputation. They brought our company to the brink of bankruptcy. We were left with no choice but to file a lawsuit against them for hundreds of thousands of dollars to seek redress for their illegal and corrupt activities.

STAY AWAY FROM HOSTINGER. They are not a legitimate hosting provider; they are crooks who will steal your money, destroy your online business, and leave you with nothing but headaches and a massive legal bill. Save yourself the heartache and find a reputable host.
